Mai Mullins - Singer/Songwriter

Mai's first recognitions of melodies and harmonies are from when her grandpa would play the piano and she would join in. She’s always been able to play by ear so she uses that in her songwriting process.

She started singing and writing songs around 12 years old. Ever since she was young, she found that vocalizing her emotions through songwriting and singing was the most fulfilling outlet to express herself. Her lyrics are vulnerable, heartfelt and poignant. Through her music, she aims to be an advocate for mental health.

Michael Alexander - Co-writer/Producer

Michael spent most of his teens and early 20s playing keyboard in various bands before becoming an assistant to composer Hans Zimmer. After a few years, Michael moved on to the role of music editor for TV and films including “The West Wing,” “Friday Night Lights” and “Shameless.” Emmy nominated for the limited series “Catch-22,” he has expanded into collaborating as a music producer, composer and score mixer. He most recently was a music producer on the upcoming film “The Rivals of Amziah King.”

In collaborating with Mai, he likes to complement her lyrics with instrumentation that takes listeners on unexpected journeys.
